{"id":248,"date":"2010-01-11T14:58:37","date_gmt":"2010-01-11T20:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cchrstl.org\/wordpress\/2010\/01\/11\/actress-brittany-murphy\/"},"modified":"2024-07-14T05:43:10","modified_gmt":"2024-07-14T10:43:10","slug":"actress-brittany-murphy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cchrstl.org\/wordpress\/2010\/01\/11\/actress-brittany-murphy\/","title":{"rendered":"Actress Brittany Murphy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/newstopics\/celebritynews\/6871387\/Brittany-Murphy-10-different-drugs-found-at-her-bedside.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">information leaked to the press<\/a>, ten different drugs, including various psychiatric drugs, were found in pill bottles next to the bed of actress Brittany Murphy following her death.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Topamax (anti-seizure)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Methylprednisolone (anti-inflammatory)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Fluoxetine (antidepressant, Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Klonopin (anti-anxiety)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Carbamazepine (bipolar drug)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Ativan (anti-anxiety)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Vicoprofen (pain reliever)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Propranolol (hypertension drug)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Biaxin (an antibiotic)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Hydrocodone (pain medication)<\/p>\n<p>According to the Drug Interaction Checker at<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.medscape.com\/druginfo\/druginterchecker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.medscape.com\/druginfo\/druginterchecker<\/a><\/p>\n<p>severe interactions (adverse side effects) may occur between Carbamazepine and Biaxin, and between Klonopin and Fluoxetine. Moderate interactions may occur between Vicoprofen and Propranolol; between Carbamazepine and Fluoxetine; and between Fluoxetine and Vicoprofen.<\/p>\n<p>When multiple drugs are administered at the same time, the incidence of adverse drug interactions rises exponentially.
